My project in celebration of the 130th anniversary of the marriage of
great-grandparents Charles Thomas Duke and Maria Nicholls is to contact
as many of their descendants as possible. This family farmed in
Stephenson Township starting about 1877, and stayed for several years.
After returning to Toronto temporarily, they settled permanently on the
Indian River in Port Carling.

Sarah's husband William Brown is thought to have died in Ireland just
