Christopher John Martin b. 1801 Ireland m Phebe Doddy. Son William b
1824 Ontario d 1899 Michigan m Mary P. Martindale, Wm and Mary had 17
children.
Only
listing for I have ever found for Christopher is in the 1871 census.
The only Christopher Martin listed in Ontario. The census list
Christopher as 71 years old and being born in Ireland. There are two
others listed but being about the age of 36 and 37. Any information on
these Martins would be greatly appreciated as this has been a brick
wall for over 30 years.

My
Great Grandfather and Mother I am told founded a place called
Fraserburg Ontario. Their names were Alexander and Elizabeth.
They settled later in Mactier Ontario. Would you have any info on
them? I do know they had one daughter named Alice who died when
she was 12 and is buried in the Fraserburg Cemetery. My grandmother
was Edith Fraser who married George Post in Fraserburg. Their son Lyle
is my father. John Post and Sarah Mabie Post are buried in
Bracebridge.
