| BROWN
/ WOODS
I
am trying to find out information about my great grandfather Singleton
Brown, who was the mayor of Bracebridge from 1896-1898. He was married
to Eliza Woods from Severn Bridge and had three daughters and one son
who only lived to be 2 years old. My grandmother was the youngest
daughter Edna. They lived on the corner of Quebec and Kimberley Streets.
Singleton operated the shingle mill, where Kelvin Grove Park now stands,
until 1899. He died April 9, 1900. My mother is buried in the Brown
family plot with him. Trying to find where Singleton lived before moving
to Bracebridge in 1883. |
